Rehydrating your Kids

In summer the kids needs more liquids than the rest of the year, you need to be specially careful with younger children.

The children should drink water constantly specially when the weather is dry and hot.

When the kids are practising some sport they must drink water at regular intervals of no more than 20 minutes and specially once they have finished the sport.

If the child is ill and specially if he has diahrroea you must increase the liquid intake accordingly.

Apart from water you can offer him home made juice (without sugar), infusions adequate for children, cold soups, etc.

If you find signs of dehidration (sunken eyes, dry lips and tongue, lack of elasticity in the skin, etc.) you should take your kid to the doctor immediatelly.
