Relaxing our Children

  There are many foods that help quiten down and relax our children.  
  Sweeten their milk or yoghurt with Orange Blossom Honey (azahar) it has a relaxing effect on the kids.  
  Many nuts like peanuts, sunflower seeds and pine nuts have a large quantity of vitamins B1 and B3, as well as magnesium and folic acid. The lacking of these tends to make children nervous and irritable. As well as emotional stability in adolescents.  
  Poppy infusions also have a relaxing effect on the children, some come combined with Orange Blossom (azahar) or with melisa, it should be taken with the following dossage :

up to the age of 5 - 8 drops 3 times a day
from 5 to 12 year olds - 12 drops
over 12 year olds - 20 drops

Poppy shouldn't be used on an every day basis as it should not be used for a prolonged time.
  Sardines and anchovies in olive oil are a great source of Omega 3. The lacking of these causes nervousness in children. Blue fish which is rich in zinc is a great way of reducing irritability and emotional disorders in children.  
  Oat milk. This proves to be an excellent natural relaxing source, all you need to do is boil a litre of milk with three spoonfulls of oats for 5 minutes, then beat it and serve cool. It works wonders.  
  Bananas, rich in potasium and magnesium which are great to relax the muscles.  
  Wholemeal biscuits, these reduce the sugar absorption in the body, sugar has proved to be an important cause of nervousness in children.
