  For a correct physical and mental development the children should sleep a certain number of hours a day.  
     
  1 - 3 years of age - about 13 hours  
  3 - 5 years of age - between 10-12 hours  
  6 - 9 years of age - about 10 hours  
  10 - 12 years of age - about 9 hours
