  Children who drink a lot of carbonated drinks which are rich in phosphorus have trouble assimilating calcium, and the ammount of sugar in these drinks also affects the health of their teeth.  
     
  To recover the calcium lost it's advisable to increase the ammount of calcium intake by eating lactic products, almonds, tinned sardines, legumes ... as well as reducing the ammount of pop they drink. Nowadays there are many versions low in sugar and/or without gas.
