Calming Techniques

 
     
  Children need sleep, the children who don't sleep enough hours are usually a lot more irritable.  
     
  Getting your kids up in a hurry in the morning will make them nervous all day. It's better to get up a bit earlier in the morning than to get up the last minute in a rush.  
     
  Certain food makes kids very nervous, specially cakes, carbon based drinks, extemely fatty foods, specially if they are consumed at night. The ideal food at that time is : bread, pasta, rice ... which not only help relax your kids but will also help them sleep.  
     
  Avoid over-stimulation caused by videogames, internet, mobile phones, television ...  
     
  If your kids are extremelly nervous try a soothing massage, a warm bath, some light reading ...
