Child Tantrum

When your child has a tantrum you must be firm. A tantrum is an immature way of expressing disagreement, if you give in to his tantrum he will use them even more often and won't learn how to divert his frustration to a less aggressive way.

You must keep calm, if you start arguing with him you will only make things worse, the best way is to ignore his tantrums and with time he will get bored and find another way.

During the tantrum don't try and reason with him, wait till he is more relaxed and then try and explain things to him.

If the tantum becomes aggressive (throwing objects, breaking something or hitting you) hold him tight up to you and talk to him till he calms down.
