  Keeping Horses Happy
Feed forage on an ad libitum basis, if not possible feed several small forage meals throughout the day.
Feed forage on the floor, this encourages natural feeding behaviour, it maintains correct jaw action so it will reduce tooth wear, it also allows for airway drainage.
Feed horses individually, if you need to feed in group ansure that each get his allowance.
Remove bullies from groups when feeding.
Give hard feed 3 or 4 times a day.
If not turned out, allow within sight and sound of other horses.
  Increase exercise or turnout times.
